A Global Unity Movement
The Power to End Human Trafficking

The Story

While working on a gala fundraiser for Roswell, Georgia’s She Is Safe (www.SheIsSafe.org), Deb and Gillian expanded the fundraiser into an opportunity to educate and raise awareness about the human and sex trafficking problem by the production of an International Day of the Girl Celebration at Avalon.

Realizing that there was no global entity that united the fabulous organizations working in this space, the women decided to found Safe Haven. The Global Butterfly Movement. The POWER to End Trafficking. The mission is two-fold:

  • Beautiful public butterfly art sculptures that can be customized. The sculptures signify new life, restoration and beauty and serve as a visual warning to traffickers that TRAFFICKING IS NOT TOLERATED HERE and that the individuals who live or work there are Safe Havens for those in peril. Using the beauty of ART to fight the ugliness of trafficking.
  • Produce a global anti-trafficking symbol/pin to unify all those in support of this important work. Universal symbol (like the breast cancer ribbon) of a safe person to approach for those in peril.
We can’t help everyone,
but everyone can help someone
